One of the places that I used to run, was up the Goat Track, a road that connects Canungra to Mt Tamborine. It was appropriately named after the mountain goat like finesse that was required to navigate this stretch of bitumen.
Some years ago the road had been closed when after another extended period of rain, the mountain side and associated vegetation let slip from the top and carved through the one-way section near the top. This classed the road for about a year. This led to my fascination with running up the normally off limits to runners rout to the top.
When the road was reaped, i thought that there was little chance of that happening again.
Well now I have been given the opportunity to trial it all again.
